GoDare helps local schools discover technology

News min.

Between 2026 and 2028, five schools in Maassluis and Maasland are getting extra support to bring technology into the classroom. GoDare is helping make it happen.

Machines, materials and know-how

Thanks to this initiative, Lentiz Revius Lyceum is setting up its own talent program for VMBO, HAVO and VWO students. IKC De Regenboog, Montessorischool Maassluis, IKC Startpunt and Aloysiusschool are getting a helping hand too: one amount for machines and materials, another for expert guidance, so students get more chances to work with real tools and technology.

The foundation behind it

This kind of support is part of the Regiodeal Waterwegregio, where GoDare, the foundation founded by Lely and Gevasol and based at the Lely Campus in Maassluis, is happy to help make this possible.

Engineers from both companies already volunteer as GoDare coaches, running hands-on workshops where students build and program things themselves, from robots to go-carts, and this is simply an extension of that.

As GoDare puts it: "We want to inspire even more children and young people and help them discover whether technology is a sector where they truly feel at home."

A little more room to explore

For the students at these five schools, that means more hands-on time with real machines between 2026 and 2028, and a few more people around who are happy to show them how things work.
