Gevasol introduces fully automated test system for NOXtec

News min.

At Gevasol, we support OEMs in demanding markets where reliability, precision and traceability are essential. For our customer NOXtec, we developed a custom test system that significantly enhances product quality and process consistency in analytical and medical applications.

From manual testing to a fixed sequence

The subsystem produced in Voorhout (in the Netherlands) requires up to 18 individual tests. Traditionally, these tests were performed manually and separately across batches. This approach carried the risk of test order variation, human error and fragmented data.

The new test machine resolves these challenges by running all 18 tests in a fixed, “frozen” sequence on a single unit. This ensures consistent conditions, increases reliability at item level and enables deeper detection of product deviations than manual testing allows.

Full traceability from component to shipment

The system integrates daily onboard calibration, interchangeable sub-bases for future scalability and full end-to-end traceability. QR code identification connects each product, subcomponent and operator to its complete set of test results. These results are stored on our private servers and available for statistical analysis via a custom LabVIEW application.

Combining test and traceability data upon final packing ensures only fully approved units move to shipment.

Built on many years of expertise

Developed entirely in house, from mechanics and electronics to mechatronics, software, PLC-integration and product engineering: the system reflects more than 25 years of accumulated expertise. Close collaboration between teams in Switzerland and the Netherlands, combined with continuous input from NOXtec, ensured a smooth implementation and on-site training phase.

Received with enthusiasm

The system's reliability and user-friendly interface have been warmly received by the operators in Voorhout. Their enthusiasm and quick adoption underline the value of intuitive design and automated guidance in complex testing environments.

Looking forward

Following the success of this project, Gevasol is already developing a combined calibration and test platform for high-pressure proportional valves in medical and analytical applications.

This continues our commitment to custom engineered solutions that push reliability and performance forward.
